Recently a Pakistani Television Station has begun airing the superhero kids show, "The Burka Avenger". Uniquely, it features a super-heroine who wears a burka and fights for girls' education (and education in general). The show has drawn much attention, for its villains' parallels to the Taliban, the protagonists' parallels to Malala Yousafzai (the Pakistani girl shot in the head by Taliban), to using of the divisive burka as her superhero costume.
